Hess opted to proceed with the SSIV System after Risk Studies was carried out confirming that there is a significant reduction in risks through the use of SSIV. A determining factor in the assessment is that the Living Quarters is on the same platform as the Full Well Stream import and export risers. Each import/export gas pipeline will have an SSIV skid which would be located around 135m from the CPP. Note that these SSIVs do not replace the topsides Emergency Shutdown Valves.
The export of dry gas from NMB FFD will be done via the ENERGY Pipeline. The 24 inch export pipeline will be connected to a subsea WYE..
